Toledo, Ohio: Issues with a Mailing Address

One of SB's coworkers broke her ankle this morning running in the snow.  Thankfully, she got home with the help of the friendly staff at a Hilton Garden.  From there, we drove her to the hospital.

The radiographer x-rayed her ankle.  She broke her fibula.  During the check-out procedure, the nurses asked for her address.  She hesitated.

We don't have addresses traveling full-time.  Many of us use our family's addresses or the company address.

UOP does a good job sending mail they receive in-office to people out on the road, but it usually arrives weeks late.

She gave the company address, hoping she'll get the bill before the first payment's due.

We have addresses at the hotels and corporate housing units, but we can't rely on them, especially for sensitive information.  If there are follow up letters or we get sent on a new job, the letters are lost or left for the next resident.

SB's coworker is at her corporate housing unit, recuperating.  Sadly, UOP has a policy of sending employees back to the home-office when they break bones.  Moving around a refinery isn't safe with a cast.  We hope they don't send her back, and she can work from the control room.

She's an important member of the crew, who teaches SB a lot about working on the road.  Sending her home ahead of an important part of the job would be a big loss for us.

The first priority, though, is making sure she feels better and recovers quick.
